Single Mothers
Single mothers have an extremely hard time raising a child. Regardless of the reasons of your circumstance, you still have to provide a loving and supportive household for your children. For many mothers, responsibility is shared between themselves and the father and this can be a significant plus instead of raising your child alone even though your child is split between two different households. However, it doesn’t have to feel this way for them. With the right communication between you and the father of your children, you may be personally single, but you don’t have to be alone in raising your kids.
This starts with communicating with the father. This can often be a difficult process because of your own personal issues together, but you can set those aside to help raise your children. If you are going to share control of your children, you need to establish a set of rules and responsibilities for your child that is consistent between the two households. With these in mind, you can begin to also establish expectations you have between one another on what you want to see in each other’s household for the benefit of your children.
Even if you share responsibility, don’t neglect the support of many other people who have gone through the same difficult process of raising children on their own. Thanks to the internet you can find many resources to discuss and get advice or just simply vent your frustrations. This should be looked at as a major factor in helping improve yourself for the benefit of your children.
